Sage 100 Payroll 12/31/19 and 1/1/2020 date-bugs: wait for Sage’s fix.
Sage 100 Payroll currently has a bug in processing checks dated 12/31/19 or 1/1/2020. 12/30/19 is fine. For a payroll check with a check date of 12/31/2019 the payroll withholds too much in federal withholding. It treats the withholding as single and zero allowances for all checks. Thus, federal withholding is too much except for those that are setup as single and zero allowances. W-4 exemptions are ignored when generating payroll check dated 12/31/2019 or 01/01/2020
Wait for Sage’s fix for this problem before processing payroll checks dated 12/31/2019 or 1/1/2020.

Note that Sage plans a year-end Payroll update that should have this fixed.
